You might know Paul as DJ Brogs. He’s an amazing DJ and we met a few years back at a wedding of all places, can you believe it? We’ve kept in touch and traded referrals over the years, but we were super excited when Paul and Kelsey called us up and wanted to discuss their own wedding photography!
Paul’s family has roots in Boston’s North End. So when Paul, Kelsey and I were discussing engagements, it was obviously going to be a Boston North End engagement session. We started 0ff at Ward 8 where we got the place to ourselves for an hour before we started our photo walk.
Our next stop was on Margaret St., where Paul’s grandfather lived and where his mom grew up. I absolutely love that we got to explore some family history on this session. It’s not often that I get to do that. Normally, I’m just looking for light and composition so Paul’s enthusiasm was contagious. We did this on a Friday afternoon so the light wasn’t great, but as we were exploring we found this courtyard off of No. Bennett St. It was perfect!
This is one of my favorite engagement sessions from last year.
