Commander’s Mansion Wedding
Amber and Seamus planned a beautiful Commander’s Mansion wedding in Watertown, MA. This site is part of the Watertown Arsenal property, which is listed on the U.S.’s National Register of Historic Places. I love this wedding venue. Historic properties like this one are my favorite places to photograph weddings.
The weather was a bit on the rainy side but I’ve never seen rain ruin anyone’s wedding. The ceremony was moved inside, which was really the only adjustment that needed to be made. Jen and Brooke of ESQ Events were on hand to handle the event coordination. As usual when working with ESQ everything went off very well. I love working with Jen and Brooke because I know that they have everything covered. They also bring a relaxed “we got this” sort of vibe which makes my job as a wedding photographer so much easier.
Amber and Seamus and the wedding party were really fun to work with, and even though the rain forced us to take most of the portraits inside, the bride and groom were intrepid enough to follow me outside in the soggy, drizzly weather. The sun even came out for about 1.2 minutes during the reception and I was able to talk Amber and Seamus into one more picture outside of the tent where it was a little brisk.
This was a very fun, laid back wedding and it was really the perfect wedding to start off the Spring. It could have been a bit warmer and sunnier but with the year we’ve had with weather, I’m just glad it didn’t snow. Regardless of the weather I was honored to be a part of this wedding day.
Congratulations to Amber and Seamus!
