Cape Cod, Wequassett Resort Wedding
Justine and Robbie planned a beautiful Wequassett Resort wedding this past September in Harwich, MA. We started the day in Chatham, MA; Justine and the girls had a rental house just a few miles away from Robbie’s parents’ house where we had planned to do the first look and the majority of portraits.Robbie chose to wear a traditional kilt with the family’s tartan. That added a really nice element to the wedding photos. The property was stunning and right on the ocean, a great location for wedding photos. It was a perfect September day without a cloud in the sky. We spent most of the day with beautiful views of the water and were surrounded by some really great people and got to witness a truly inspirational wedding… what could be better?
This was a fun, Cape Cod wedding. Justine and Robbie were both a bit nervous for the first look, which is par for the course, but that anxiousness usually leads to real moments and great photos. First looks always add a nice element of drama and emotion to the wedding story and this one did just that. I love the look on Justine’s face when her eye’s meet Robbie’s. A lot of love right there! After we finished up with the first look, we went right into portraits with the families and wedding party and then made our way to Wequassett Resort for the ceremony and reception.
If you’ve never spent any time at Wequassett, put it on your travel list, the place is stunning. With the ceremony right on the water, overlooking the bay, it’s really a site that is hard to beat. Even more powerful than the views was the actual ceremony, which was personalized by the thoughtful words by friends and members of Justine and Robbie’s congregation. Not to mention one of the bridesmaids performed a song, which nearly brought everyone to tears.
We were so happy to be a part of this wedding!
