Emily and Alex planned a beautiful Old Whaling Church wedding in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard.
Ashley and I had anticipated this wedding for a while now. Working with KG Events, we knew that everything was going to be beautiful and run smoothly. We love September weddings on the vineyard. It's still a bit summer but also a little bit of fall too. Emily and Alex had a perfect wedding day and the smiles they wore most of the day say it all.
We had always wanted an opportunity to photograph an Old Whaling Church wedding. Fortunately, we had a bright and sunny day which allowed this historic church to fill up with light. It really is a brilliant church and a photographers' dream.
The bride and groom chose Farm Neck Golf Club for the reception. Under the tent, KG Events, transformed the space into a floral wonderland. It was amazing. The party was on and didn't skip a beat. You know those weddings where there's barely any space on the dance floor? Yup, that was this wedding. So much fun, and here's some photos to prove it.
Lauren and Erik planned a beautiful, Omni Parker Hotel Wedding at the end of summer and it was perfect. The image above is one of our favorite spots in the city to create a wedding portrait. The view is so unique and quintessentially Boston.
This black tie affair was just as Boston as the view above. Which Boston property is more historic and luxurious than the Omni Parker? It's tough to come up with one. When meeting Lauren and Erik last year, they were both really excited about the venue and our opportunities for photos at the hotel and around town.
Their reveal was in the Old City Hall courtyard as we dodged tourists and then after freshening up, we walked down to the Boston Public Gardens for wedding party and some bride and groom portraits. Boston is such a walkable city making it fun to take the wedding party out on the town on an adventure. This adventure brought us through Boston Common and the 10,000 or so people that we there for a festival. Let's just say there were many cheers for the bride and groom.
The adventure continued as we made our way back to Omni Parker for the ceremony. Lauren and Erik chose one of the most historic spots in the hotel for their nuptial, the JFK Press Room. The dimly lit room and the warm light provide a lovely ambiance for a wedding. After the ceremony, we were on to the ballroom for a party to remember.
Congrats to Lauren and Erik!

Candice and Todd planned a beautiful Misselwood wedding in September.
On a perfect Sunday in September, Todd and Candice exchanged vows at one of the North Shore's most incredible venues, Misselwood. This elegant estate, set right on the water in Beverly, MA has everything you could dream of for a New England wedding. Historic estate, scenic water views and plenty of trees, rocks and character for photos.
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this wedding. Candice and Todd are incredibly nice people who ultimately wanted photographers to capture moments and make some beautiful portraits around the Misselwood grounds. That's exactly what we did. Here's our favorite images:
Julie and Chris planned an amazing September wedding at the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, MA.
This Merrimack Valley wedding is brought to you by two people who could not take their eyes off each other all day. True love is awesome to witness. This celebration is just the start for these two and we are so happy that we could play a small role. Here are some of our favorite images from the day.
Nicole and Joel planned a beautiful New Hampshire Farm Wedding at Joel's family property in Meredith.
There are weddings where everyone is running around stressed out. There are weddings where things are sort of quiet. This wedding was neither. It was laid back and chill but also incredibly fun and fast paced. A backyard / family farm vibe is the way to go if you're able to plan a wedding like this. Nicole and Joel hired Mindy from Private Weddings and Events to handle the coordination and she certainly took care of everyone. People often overlook hiring a personal coordinator but it makes a world of difference when it comes to the flow and timing of the day.
My second photographer, Brendon, and I arrived shortly after 1pm on a glorious day in New Hampshire. It was sunny and cool, something that we haven't had a lot of this summer. As I arrived at the Margate, where Nicole was getting ready, it was a bit quiet as the anxiousness was building. Christina, the maid of honor was steaming dresses like a boss and Nicole had started to write out her vows. As a photographer, I like the 'quiet' as much as I like the 'action'. I can be a little more deliberate and thoughtful with the choices I make when I'm not trying to keep up with people moving all over the place.
The limo that was taking the bride and bridesmaids to the ceremony/reception site, was timed out to arrive just before the ceremony start. As I was riding with them, I knew I wouldn't have much time to prepare for the ceremony once I got on site. That's when a trusted second photographer is vital. Brendon did an excellent job making sure everything was covered and once I arrived all I had to do was find a spot for my camera bag and get into position. When it comes to a ceremony, I think this might have been the shortest on record. Nicole and Joel wanted it short and sweet and I think the whole ceremony was under 8 minutes. Wow.
After ceremony and portraits it was on to the party. Entertainment specialists, Crown Entertainment took care of the rest. Terry Moran was a great MC and mixed a variety of music from oldies to contemporary hits. The dance floor took a beating, but that's what it's there for, right?
Overall, a fantastic New Hampshire farm wedding. We are so happy for Nicole and Joel, and honored to be their photographer. Below are some of our favorite photos, enjoy.
