Leaving the wedding of Kate and Stavros last night, Rich and I just kept saying how amazing the night was. We really love all our clients and put everything we have into each and every one. However, every once in a while you come across a couple with great friends and families and by the end of the night, you feel like you are old friends. This day could not have been more perfect way to kick off our 2016 wedding season. LeBelle Winery in Amherst, NH was breathtaking, the staff was extremely attentive, and the food was amazing. The Flower Mill, as always did a phenomenal job on the bouquets and decor.  Even the little bit of rain on a hot hot day had perfect timing and just as we were finishing up portraits in the wine cellar a beautiful rainbow crossed the sky. We wish you the very best luck on your honeymoon Kate & Stavros enjoy the sneak peek and we will have more photos for you soon!!  - Ash

Which MA Wedding Venues Fit Your Style?

As you start planning your wedding one of the first decisions you'll have to make is your venue. Massachusetts has so many beautiful options for your wedding ceremony and reception. Let's discuss the some of the opportunities to create the wedding of your dreams.

Hotel Wedding
No matter the season, a big city hotel wedding will give you so many options for you, your wedding party and your guests. Do you have folks coming in from out of town? Wouldn't it be great if everyone was all in one location? Having a hotel wedding allows for opportunities to start the party early and keep it going after the band is packed up. If you choose a Boston hotel, like the Boston Harbor Hotel, you'll be able to use the city or the waterfront as backdrop for photos. If you are a big city girl or boy, a hotel wedding venue might be perfect for your wedding.
Country Club
There are so many beautiful country clubs in Massachusetts to hold your wedding. You'll be able to enjoy the beauty of the New England outdoors and maybe even work out a package deal for some golf or recreation during the weekend.  The Merrimack Valley GC has some amazing sunset views and incredible stone bridges for photo ops.

Waterfront Resort
Is the beach part of your lifestyle? Can you picture your wedding party walking in the sand? A coastal MA wedding might be the right fit for you. Sweeping views and the stunning beauty of the oceanside will keep your guests talking for years to come. Cape Cod resorts, like the Wequasset Resort, offer on site ceremonies overlooking the ocean, as well as accommodations for your guests.
New England Inn
The absolute charm of New England can be found in it's quaint little inns and bed and breakfast spots. If you are thinking about planning a local get-away type wedding, Massachusetts has a ton of options for you. One of our favorites is the Beach Plum Inn on Martha's Vineyard. With beautiful grounds and a view of Menemsha bay, this is truly one of the most romantic spots to get married. All of your guests will have opportunities to stay right on site, which makes your wedding feel more like a weekend, rather than just one day.
Rustic Barn
Outside of Boston it's easy to find a beautiful and historic barn setting for your wedding. Barns are super popular right now and one of our favorites is The Barn at Gibbet Hill. No matter the season Gibbet Hill is a highly sought after wedding venue and provides a gorgeous backdrop and ambience for you and your guests.

Boat Cruise
If you're planning something small and love the water, you might want to think about a cruise wedding. An outdoor ceremony in Boston Harbor is picturesque and something completely non-traditional. It's a little bit different which adds a little bit of excitement for your guests.

Tent/Backyard/Private Estate
Sometimes a wedding specific venue just won't do it for your once in a life time day. If you are a do-it-yourselfer or want to hire a planning team to put together a wedding in your backyard this might be the perfect opportunity. It's a little bit more work, but if you bring on the right wedding planner you could set yourself up for THE WEDDING OF YOUR DREAMS!

Restaurants
Are you a foodie looking for a small-ish reception to treat your guests to fine dining? Why not look into having your wedding, at least the reception, at your favorite restuarant. You know you're going to love the food and your guests will probably love the idea of attending a non-traditional reception. We photographed a very small reception at Davio's Restaurant in Foxboro a few years back.

Historic New England Estate
One of our favorite things about New England and Massachusetts in particular is the history. There are an incredible amount of historic estates in MA to hold your wedding.  The Lyman Estate is a perfect example of a great historic MA wedding venue with elegance, charm and the options for a tent reception or dinner inside the house. Same goes for the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield. Willowdale as so much to offer with endless photo opportunities, ceremonies in the courtyard and a beautiful sail cloth tent for your reception.

Museums/Libraries/Castles
If your interested in something a bit different, look into some MA museums or the Boston Public Library. One of our favorite MA wedding venues is the Peabody Essex Museum. This museum in Salem, MA has a maritime history combined with a modern museum of art. Your guests will be amazed at the backdrop of your wedding and the opportunity to explore the museum before and after the ceremony.

Did I forget anything? I'd love to hear some feed back on your favorite MA wedding venues.
